What do you know?

Job 38:4 "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding."

I would like to start this off by asking, what do you know? See, we get so caught up in whatever we are going through that we feel as though our reasoning will help us understand our situation better when it will not. Instead of us going to Him humbly seeking answers, we aggressively ask for demands. God delivers us over and over. Jesus delivers us from sin, hell, the grave, our troubles, our enemies, yet we still find it okay to question while in a storm. Why? Seriously, why is it that we can sing to Him, pray to Him, but still doubt knowing so much great works He has done. This particular scripture asks the question where were you when God was creating the land we so effortlessly walk on day to day. So, can you answer that?

Now of course, none of us can say we were there when God created the world. Scientist can talk until they are blue in the face, but God was The One Who created the world! It did not just happen. That does not even make sense, but I digress. So, we acknowledge that we were not there, correct? Since we were not there, it shows His Superioroity over us. Seeing that whatever carnal knowledge we may think we know is trumped because we really know nothing. God created the world just like He created our lives. He had a distinct purpose for everything He created. People complain about the rain, yet we need it to grow things. Relating that to life's storms, we complain about the rain in our lives not understanding that the rain is growing the seed of Faith that was planted during salvation. So what do you know? Our faith is not accessed by what we see, but by what we believe. What we believe shows not just by going to worship service or giving to the needy. It shows when we are going through trials as well. We openly broadcast what we know to all on how we conduct ourselves during life's most difficult moments. Do you play the blame game? Are you a victim all of the time?
What we know is what we show.

So He says declare if we have understanding. Can you hear the crickets. Even today not a soul has a full comprehension on how God created the world, and man, from, dust, and woman, from the man. In that same token, how are we suppose to figure our lives out that He gave us? News flash, we aren't. God expects us to trust Him just like any good relationship. The foundation has been laid, spiritually. Jesus has already put into place our means of trust by leaving Heaven to die for us! All He asks is that we genuinely believe what He says in His Word and make it a habit to live by It. So what do you know? You were not there, but you are here. You, me, we are here now and what we do know is not to lean to our own knowledge, but endlessly listen to Jesus. What do I know? I know Jesus loves me
and He will direct my path. What do you know?
