Isaiah 14:24 "The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:"
One thing we can be very sure of is God is a Man of His Word. There are many reasons we may doubt God none of which are because of Him. In actuality because we are so imperfect, we begin to question Perfection, which is God. Because we are unable to see our breakthrough, taste our victory, or feel our deliverance we start to doubt what God has already promised us. Jesus took care of everything we needed to survive on earth and after death yet we still get dissatisfied or discouraged. Why? Are our situations really that bad or is our mindset just that bad? The mindset to equivalate God's Word to the same word man has and mostly breaks. They are not the same.
Just as The Good Book states much later in Isaiah 55:8, For My Thoughts are not your thoughts, nor My Ways, your ways, declares The Lord."Meaning that whatever God thinks is unparalleled to what we can even imagine! It is amazing how we can trust the casinos more than we trust God. Many of us will go spend money in high hopes of a great return on our investment knowing there is a high percentage of losing our money oppose to keeping it or even gaining more. Then we have an ALL true, honest, faithful, loving God Whom we can't seem to trust just a little bit. That is all that He asks of us, a little faith. Having faith in God is trusting His Promise, ALL of His Promises. There may be some still searching for their purpose in life. Know that God has already planned your life. All you have to do is acknowledge Him, so that He can direct you into that particular Promise. Maybe someone is waiting on a need that has to be met that God promised He would fulfill. I urge you to wait on The Lord & do not be discouraged in your time of waiting. He is not slow concerning His Promise. See, there is just a road to travel before His Promise is revealed to us.
Remember the Israelites? No? Yes? Well, in a nutshell they had to travel through the wilderness before they saw what God Promised. I believe, like many of us still do today, just heard the word promise and thought oh we are about to "come on down" like the price is right and get our reward, no. See it took them forty years to get to their destination because of their own foolishness, but that's a whole other post. All I will input from that passage is to simply not doubt God once He has already spoken over your life! Let's stop complaining and keep praising. Turn our doubts into dances of thanksgiving and honor because God will come through. Different religions and tribes have a rain dance for rain to come during a drought or a dance for their harvest to grow. They have enough sense to not complain and give a shout to their "god." Why can't we? Christians should be the loudest and most confident people when discussing religion because our God is actually real and He never lies! His Words are true EVERY time. So don't sweat, pursue your purpose in Him even if it is not going according to your time schedule. His Word is sure! That you can bet on! If God said it, just wait on it. Enjoy your weekend!
