Psalm 16:8 "I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved"
It's THANKFUL THURSDAY so today let's be thankful for God's guidance. No matter what lies on the road ahead of you God is already there and He will either redirect you or prepare/enable you to deal with the situation. After you have accepted Jesus into your life you belong to him and it may be difficult to understand what happens after that. You may ask, What do I do when I leave the church and I'm alone? For starters, now that you're His, you are never alone. When you leave the church YOU become the church. You are to continually seek after God to stay in His presence (No, He will never leave your presence, but you have the potential to depart from His). Our relationship with God is not as beneficial to Him as it is to us. On that note, we should chase after Him more than we expect Him to chase after us.
Have you ever been in a place in your life that you've only dreamed of? Has God ever opened a door for you that you've been afraid to enter? Don't fear your blessings! God did not and will not depart from you after He has blessed you (that's our track record with Him). He is still with you and He will always be; therefore, you can go boldly through that opened door prepared for whatever is to come because He has laid it out just for you. You can enjoy being in the place that you've dreamed of because what is yours is yours! For many of us it is the start of a new school year and many of us are on a new educational dimension, including myself. Take a step back to remember who has your back (front and sides) than thank Him for the opportunity.
Essentially this scripture is David saying He always put God first. David was a man after God's own heart; therefore, he was a man that followed God's commands. No, David was not perfect which makes him even more relatable; however, even in his mess ups He still acknowledged God as the head of His life. We have stop trying to be in control and submit to the will and direction God is leading us, Follow Him.
