Living in your truth: Being Free

John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"

Freedom. What does freedom REALLY feel like? What does it cost to be free? Take a minute to truly consider those questions and what they mean to you. It has been a while since I've been able to write and there are several reasons that attribute to that block. The main reason became apparent to me after attending the launch of A&E Wellness last weekend and I couldn't avoid writing any longer.

Many of us are unknowingly held captive by our very own ways of life; mind, body, and soul. All components must be healthy in order to life a full, healthy life of freedom. Spiritual freedom, financial freedom, physical health freedom, and etc. It is not what people say we can/ can not  do or who people say that we are that holds us back it's what we believe we can/can not do that holds us back along with who we think we are. Ebony, who is co-founder of A&E Wellness alongside her husband Aaron, inspired me by saying that our "Spiritual Wellness" is the foundation of our overall wellness. Therefore if your spirit is not well then no other area in your life has the potential of being well. One bad apple CAN spoil an entire bunch...think about out when you buy bulk fruit and you see mold on one you question the goodness of the entire batch. Your foundation must be solid and good because if it isn't you cannot make a stand for what you believe in. If you have no foundation you do not have the ability to weather a storm and so on.

Back to freedom. Your freedom is dependent upon your spiritual wellness. Spiritual wellness is essentially LIVING IN YOUR TRUTH; knowing who you are, what your purpose is, and who created you. The scripture above clearly states how to obtain freedom...find your truth. Many of us walk around with a facade because we are afraid to be who we are or we really don't know who we are because we haven't solidified our foundation yet we're still trying to build on it. We have to truly tap into our own spirit as well as the Holy Spirit to be able to comfortably be who we are and know that it is okay. It's never too late to get it right! Fight for your freedom so that your spirit may be well.

BE YOU!!!
