God is Leading You!

Exodus 14:13-14 Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still"

The infamous parting of the Red Sea! A part of the Bible that even the unsaved know, but don't quite understand. These people, under the leadership of Moses whom God had appointed, had left their comfort zone of being slaves in Egypt to travel to the Promised Land. Promised Land? Yes, the land of freedom  They wandered for 40 years in the wilderness facing many obstacles yet never ending their journey. At times they were frustrated, wanted to turn back, and second guessing; however, they kept going because deep down they knew God had called them out. Their situation is very relatable in that many of us have been called out by God yet we haven't reached our Promised Land. It seems we are wandering in a circle and we don't quite understand why nor do we understand where God is leading us.

We wander for two reasons #1 because we're not ready (spiritually and mentally) to receive what God has for us and #2 because we're not ready God has to protect us until we become ready. Have you ever tried walking on a balance beam? What about a straight line in general? Can you draw a perfectly straight line? I know I can't, even with a ruler it's challenging for me to draw a straight line. God knows that His ways are not always easy that's why He gives us strength and grants us grace and mercy. Furthermore, God knows that when we choose His ways He then has to prepare our minds, hearts, and spirit to deal with the weapons people will try to use to destroy us.

Be careful not to give up on God's promise due to the amount of time you've spent wandering. Also, don't be so quick to settle into your sorrow because you serve a God that does not lack so neither shall you. Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that there is a time and season for everything. And guess who knows the right timing? Yep, GOD! Trust Him even when you're wandering in the wilderness because even still He has a purpose.

Stand on God's word even when your enemy is in sight. It may seem the faster you run the closer your emery gets until eventually you run into what looks like a dead end. Ever heard the saying "God will make a way out of no way"? Well, I'm going out on a limb and say this comes from God giving Moses the ability to part the Red Sea. There was no way the Isrealites was going to make it across the sea alive BUT GOD made a way out of no way. The Isralites did several things here; they listened to God, they trusted God, they followed His direction, and they were blessed for it.

So today I'm telling you that God is leading you so trust Him. When it appears you've reached a dead end look and what you have, as Moses did, and use what God has given you thus far. God doesn't break HIS promises so let Him take the lead!
