Can you hear Me now?

Isaiah 43:8 "Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears."

So, let's set up an illustration. You ready? Here we go. There was this diligent church goer who attended church service faithfully. Not only did she attend church service, but she also attended Bible Study, most of the church programs, and outreach. Her name was Sally. Everyone knew her around the town as that faithful church goer. What people were unaware of was the fact Sally never really knew scripture. See, she had an outstanding appearance, but nothing was REAL. This woman's life was robotic. Everything was like clock work. Get up, go to church, and go home was her routine. Inwardly there was no real change because she has rehearsed this lifestyle since she was little. All she knew was my parents took me to church so I must continue the pattern.

Then we have Sam. Sam is well, a Christian who has lost his way. He started out great, but somewhere along the lines, started putting other people before God. He would go to church service with the intentions on giving God His all, but his phone vibrates. It's his girlfriend texting him how fun last night was and how she wish he didn't go to church so much. Sam's girlfriend you guessed it is his distraction. He is so caught up in her that he is inadvertently detaching his fellowsip with God. And so God says, bring forth the blind who have eyes and the deaf that have ears. These two stories are examples of how a person can be spiritually handicapped. One being Sally who is a rehearsed and not real and the other being Sam who is saved, but distracted. Both are dealing with some paralyzing situations.

Just because we have been "churched" all of our lives does not mean we are apart of God's Church. Salvation is not going to church, but because we are saved we gladly, again GLADLY worship as a collective body in Christ. It is not a robotic routine, but a righteous one. There is something wrong with professing saints having an attitude while in worship when God has done so much for us. Worship is to magnify God for Who He Is. The whole church should be the praise team not a select few on stage because we ALL have something to praise God for just open your eyes. Then we have the Christians who are perhaps struggling. It may not be a significant other but what is blocking your sight of Christ? Because that is Who we all should be looking towards daily. Is it a job, school, family, a friend, money, whatever it may be rid yourself of it. Pray that your focus is returned back to Him and for forgiveness of putting anything before Him. This is something that needs to be said because it is serious. Only a third of the church is actually saved because of being blind to The Word of God and deaf to His call. We know the lingo and the wardrobe but we are unable to costume our way into Heaven. Thank God for His Mercy and Forgiveness that as long as we are breathing can openly ask for a change! He can heal our spiritual handicaps if we allow Him. Go into worship ready and willing to hear The Word and See The Word, for The Word is God.
