1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
It's Wednesday!!! Also known as "Hump Day" getting over that hump is arguably the toughest part of any week. At this point during the week you've probably been tempted in more ways than one that is outside of the will of God. Whether it be snap at a co-worker or backslide in some other way you've been faced with something. Perhaps your temptation has been tugging at you all month and you haven't been able to over come it. Don't be discouraged because temptation has played a role in the lives of man since Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden. None of us are exempt from facing temptation in our everyday lives even Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was faced with temptation during his life here on earth. Unlike like Jesus we're more than likely to fall into temptation in some way at some point despite our ability to overcome it through our faith and trust in God.
I know it may seem like your situation is unique to you and no one else has ever had to deal with it or face it, but you're wrong! The scripture above proves it by stating that what you're dealing with is not uncommon; therefore, you shouldn't treat it as though it is. God has provided us with the strength that we need to endure every level of temptation and you have access to it within your relationship with God. Although many of the obstacles that we face are physical your ability to defeat it starts with your mentality. If you believe that you can, you will. If you believe that you can't, you won't. Although we've already won the war we have to finish the fight!
