His Will

Ephesians 5:17 "Wherefore be not unwise, but understanding what The Will of The Lord is:"

There are times where we find ourselves either knowing what God wants us to do and getting side tracked or not knowing at all. During this break up it is so easy for me to get lost in what God wants me to do. Some people say, just stay busy. Others say the best way to get over someone is to get with someone else. I could throw myself in relationship books or church functions, but is that what God wants from me? The answer is no. Getting "busy" is not the wisest choice to make. We must be careful in any state of our lives not to allow situations to detour us from His Will. If I was to do anything concerning The Kingdom it would be for the love and relationship I have with God not to escape a trial or bad occurrence in my life. Getting into another relationship or entering back into that one which was not put together properly is not His Will either. I know what God's Will is for relationships, but we do not have time to talk about that right now. Very often there are people who go to church to escape from troubles instead of searching or wanting to see God and digest His Word. Is that His Will? Was that what He had in mind when He established the church and asked His People to build The Temple so that He can dwell amongst His People? Got startling news last week that only 25 percent of the church goers are saved. So what are we going to church for because His Will is that NONE be lost in 2 Peter 3:9.

The writer instructs the church to know God's Will. Further down he says it is impossible to know His Will in the wrong state of mind. He said, to not be drunk, but filled with The Spirit. Without direction from The Spirit we are unable to move in the path God has for us. For some who may not know too much alcohol consumption can cause a person to make poor decisions. Alcohol isn't the only interference with sound judgment but we all should know the rest that can go along with an impaired mind frame. Jesus did not shed His Blood on The Cross for us to still try to figure our lives out. He died so that we may live through His Sacrifice. If we are living in Him we should be living for Him and if we are living for Him we should be living out the plans that The Father has for our lives.

It is simple, but complicated for us because we want what we want when we want it. Seeking God is well said amongst Christians but very few seriously practice this diligently. Not following God's Will can not only cause us harm, but can make us a stumbling block for the ones who are watching our walk with Christ. If we are making our own decisions and being impatient what kind of witness are we? God's Will is perfect and there is no amount of school or money that can top His Plan for our lives. That is why you see educated and rich people unhappy because The Will of God is absent. His Will makes us happy, gives peace, and purpose. Who wouldn't want that? Because with that it does not matter how long it takes because you know His Work in you will be established in His Timing.
